Fitting this kit — the job in 6 steps
1Make it safe
Relieve fuel pressure (pump fuse out, run the engine dry) and disconnect the battery.
2Reach the rail
Remove the intake parts in the way and unplug each injector connector.
3Pull the injectors
Unbolt the fuel rail and lift the injectors straight out. Keep them in cylinder order.
4Strip the old parts
Remove the old PTFE seals and O-ring. Pull the old micro filter out with the removal tool. Never scratch the nozzle tip.
5Fit the new parts
Press in the new micro filter, fit the O-ring with a light coat of clean engine oil, and seat the new PTFE seals flush.
6Reinstall and check
Rail back on, bolts torqued to spec. Prime the pump and inspect every injector for leaks before the first start.
Fuel is flammable — no sparks or smoking, work in a ventilated space. Direct-injection fuel pressure can injure skin; keep hands clear of any spray. Not set up for it? A shop can fit this kit in about an hour.
